Our shipyard team hydraulically jacked up the 650 ton gantry crane and isolated the weight of the crane from the gantry. This allowed us to replace 50% of the gantry base that sits on a rail system. A new, safe working platform was installed with fiberglass grating and steel angle frame for use during the job and for future gantry repairs. In addition, we renewed the car body access hatch, main engine mounts, and two 10 ton cable drums from the winch base of the car body.
