Stevens Towing Co., Inc. recently completed 3 trips from Charleston to Port Everglades moving Siemens’ generators and turbines for Crane Rental Corporation. This equipment is going to Florida Power and Light. Stevens Towing Co., Inc. shipyard prepped the barge for the Charleston Heavy Lift to load all three pieces on board, and secured these pieces for ocean tow. The Stevens Towing tug, “Island Trader” then towed the barge to Port Everglades where the pieces were rolled off by Crane Rental with assistance from several Stevens Towing personnel.
