The Kimberly C came a long way to get a paint job!

Originally built in 1978 by McDermott Shipyard in Morgan City, Louisiana, this 99-foot, 2,520 horsepower tug has had quite the journey, serving under seven different names and owners from Louisiana to Bermuda, Florida, Washington, California, and Alaska.

Now owned by @curtinmaritime, the Kimberly C still runs strong with twin EMD engines, dual Intercon towing winches, and a whole lot of history behind her. We were proud to give her a fresh coat and help keep this hardworking vessel looking sharp for her next chapter.

The abandoned 120-foot Navy vessel HAZAR had been stuck in Bohicket Creek for 4+ years—but not anymore.

Captain Cameron White and our Stevens Towing salvage team successfully floated and hauled the ship to our Yonges Island shipyard last week.

Keeping South Carolina’s marshes safe hits close to home for Captain White, who has lived in McClellanville all his life.
