Our crews run up and down the East Coast in every kind of weather … sun, rain, sleet, and storms.

This shot was taken on one of our northern runs, pushing through winter conditions when most folks were stuck inside staying warm. That’s the reality of work on the water: no off-season and no waiting on perfect conditions.

Any guesses where and when this photo was taken?

Our crew was called in to recover a 60-foot sailboat that ran aground near the Charleston jetties and started taking on water.

Using a floating crane, barge, and the tug Island Express, we lifted the vessel out and brought it back to dry land safely.

The four people onboard had already been rescued without injury thanks to quick action by the City of Charleston Police Department Harbor Patrol Unit and the Charleston County Sheriff's Office Marine Patrol. Once everyone was safe, we handled the salvage.

💪 Proud of our crew and the teamwork that got it done.

Some behind-the-scenes photos of our crew preparing the 120-foot steel-hulled former Navy torpedo vessel HAZAR for its offshore sink to become an artificial reef.

She was sunk last weekend 40 miles off the #CharlestonSC coast and will now provide habitat for marine wildlife, fishing and diving opportunities.

Total team effort working alongside the talented crews at @scdnr and @ccasouthcarolina.

Front-page news for Stevens Towing. 👇

This past weekend we helped take the former Navy vessel HAZAR offshore and sink it as an artificial reef. It's now resting 40 miles off the #CharlestonSC coast.

The @postandcourier put the story on today’s front page, covering how HAZAR went from abandoned in the marsh to a brand-new habitat on the ocean floor.

We teamed up with @scdnr and @ccasouthcarolina to tow the vessel, open the valves, and send it down clean and controlled.

We’ll be sharing new video from the reefing soon. Stay tuned!

Removing a 120-foot derelict ship from the marsh takes more than a tow line.

What you see in this timelapse video took hours on the water. After pumping the hull, breaking the vessel free from the creek bed, securing lift points, and towing the ship safely across the river, we successfully delivered it to our Yonges shipyard.

Salvage isn’t simple, but our crew’s up for it.

70 feet long. 26 feet wide. Built for the Charleston Harbor, handled with ease.

The Palmetto Spirit vessel is part of Charleston’s Harper cruise fleet. When she recently came through our Yonges Island shipyard, our travel lift crew got her Hall, serviced, and back to work.

Keeping passenger vessels, moving safely and on schedule — that’s the job.

Bringing the Sea Level in for repairs.

One of North Carolina’s working ferries stopped through our Yonges Island shipyard recently to get the maintenance it needs to stay in service and keep coastal communities connected.

With $7 million in new state funding supporting the ferry system, vessels like the Sea Level can stay running strong for the people who rely on them every day.

Sunrise over Yonges Island, and another vessel heads out.

Before sunrise, our tugs are already moving. Keeping projects on schedule and commerce flowing along the coast.

Reliability doesn’t sleep.
